Halloween Polco Decorative Journaling Class with Clarisse

Black cats, witchy vibes & kawaii ghouls, oh my! Let's have some spooky & cute fun playing with stationery on October 15. Using a variety of washi tapes, memos and stickers, we will make a journal spread with a Halloween theme. As a bonus, we'll also be discussing the different kinds of decorated photos (polcos), and creative techniques for decorative journaling!

We’d encourage you to bring your own book/binder & a small printed photo of your choosing (recommended size is 5.5 cm x 8.5 cm, but any small size photo will work). You do not need to own a blackout journal/paper for this spread. All stationery materials needed to create the spread, plus extra decorative stationery, will be provided. Kindly bring your own tools (recommendations below) <3

The class will run from 2pm - 4pm. The beginning will be spent discussing decorative journaling as a form of creativity, memory-keeping, and therapy, as well as the concept of polcos. The last segment will be spent as fun free time for everyone to trade/swap stationery items!

Please make sure to bring:
  • Your own tools: whatever book/papers you'd like to decorate, sticker book/sticker release paper, reliable scissors, craft tweezers, glue, adhesive tape runner, washi cards. If you are missing some of these, you are welcome to shop at Little Craft Place before the class :)
  • Optional - For swapping with others: washi tapes, sticker extras or partials, memos, stamps, whatever you'd like to share and exchange!
