Fountain Ink Brush Lettering with Emily Solis

This class is designed for experienced letterers who are ready to explore something new beyond traditional brush markers. Using fountain ink and a small paintbrush, we’ll dive into a different kind of flow, texture, and movement that creates soft, expressive lettering styles.

We’ll start by breaking down how to use a paintbrush to form basic strokes, then move into letters, connections, and simple words. Once everyone feels comfortable with the feel of fountain ink, we’ll finish the session by creating a custom lettered quote to take home.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who’s curious about fountain ink, wants to loosen up their lettering style, or loves experimenting with unique materials. All attendees will receive a fountain ink sample and a paintbrush so they can continue practicing long after class ends.

Class kit includes: One ink sample, one paint brush, Rhodia practice paper, Watercolor paper for final project, thank you card and hand lettered name for each student
