The picture book Ohikosshi illustrated by 100%ORANGE is now available on a Hobonichi Techo cover.

Ohikkoshi was first released in the monthly magazine Ohanashi Pooka in 2007 and published as a picture book the following year. The squirrels all cross the bridge, go down the stairs and just when you think they all made their way across the street, they climb up the wire fence for a short rest...The sight of them all walking together, one after another, is somehow both delightful and refreshing.




On the Cousin-size cover Where’s the Squirrel Going, the squirrels are steadily progressing in single-file over a pair of boots, a flower planter, and even a cat! Among them, there are those that are wearing a striped shirt, holding an umbrella or fitted with a belt. All the more fun to imagine each of their different personalities.




The brown butterfly-stopper pen holders are made of synthetic leather. The way the orange of the interior peeks out adds to the charm.




The cover interior is in a warm orange color, and you can look at the same amazing view that the squirrels are. The tips of the bookmarks have a brown charm in the image of a nut. The pocket on the left also includes 100%ORANGE’s signature.




The striking design stretches all the way from the front to the back of the cover, a key feature of this design. There is no pocket on the cover exterior.

This is the English version of the A5 size Hobonichi Techo Cousin with a page-per-day format.

The book layout is the same as the Japanese edition. Not only is it useful for writing down your plans for the day, jotting down memos, doodling, pasting event tickets or photos, the spacious Cousin is easy to use as a Techo to write down everything work-related, as a family notebook, tracking the growth of children and pasting in pictures to create a family album or sharing pages among family members. It’s also frequently used as a planner that is always kept on a desktop or table rather than carrying around.
