About LaQuisha:

LaQuisha Hall is the proud educator of #MrsHallScholars, serving youth in Baltimore City Public Schools for 23 years. During her career, LaQuisha has led in the roles of classroom teacher, department head, the 2018 Teacher of the Year and now serves as a district level coach for Opportunity Culture programming. Because of her outstanding educational leadership, her work was the focus of the Simon & Schuster book, Becoming a Teacher, by Melinda D. Anderson.
As the founder of her own art brand, Confident Canvas™, LaQuisha has taught classes locally and internationally and has co-authored multiple books to support others in finding their own creative voice. She is skilled in a variety of artistic expressions, including bible journaling, mixed media, hand lettering, journaling, drawing and painting. LaQuisha works with many creative brands and platforms, including Ranger Ink and Illustrated Faith.
As an overcomer of domestic violence and sexual abuse and an international advocate, LaQuisha actively works to empower fellow survivors and youth. She founded the SheRose Awards to give a platform to others survivors to share their own stories. Her work was celebrated at the 45th anniversary celebration of TurnAround, Inc. for her founding of the 15-year fundraiser project, The Purple Poetry Book, and at Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse for her years of volunteer and board service.
Beginning her skills in mentoring at age 16, LaQuisha spent hours locally and abroad mentoring via her nonprofit program, Queendom T.E.A. (The Etiquette Academy), committed to encouraging and teaching teen girls about personal safety, feminine etiquette and positive self-esteem. She is the author, co-author and publisher of more than 10 books. As a result, LaQuisha has been recognized with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement in Volunteer Service Award by former President Barack Obama.
In her spare time, LaQuisha enjoys watching Attack on Titan on repeat, reading novels by Jodi Picoult and traveling.
“Share your accomplishments with the world. Those who love themselves will love you. Those who don’t will be inspired by you even if they don’t say it! Be empowered today.”
