This cover features artwork from Tomie, the debut work and one of the most iconic creations of horror manga artist Junji Ito. Using original illustrations that bring Junji Ito’s one-of-a-kind world to life, the artwork bridges nearly 40 years since his debut in 1987.

The Tomie Memory Cousin-size cover is made of luxurious silver faux leather, printed with artwork and lines taken straight from the original Tomie manga. Beautiful, carefree, arrogant, and terrifying—this striking cover features some of the most memorable scenes that capture the many sides of Tomie.




Open the cover and you’ll see that the print extends across the entire surface , from front to back. Every image is taken directly from the original Tomie manga. Even the speech bubbles are printed as they appeared, allowing you to fully take in Tomie’s unforgettable words.




The illustrations are printed in black ink on a silver background, but there’s one exception—Tomie’s eyes are rendered in white ink. Her clear, captivating eyes, which enchant the men around her, are especially striking.




Peek inside the back pocket of the cover and you’ll find another illustration of Tomie. It depicts a memorable scene where a girl, captivated by Tomie’s beautiful and mysterious hair, begins to admire her.




The inside of the cover is black. Hidden in the pocket where the Hobonichi Techo book slips in is a disturbing illustration—a stark contrast to the beautiful Tomie on the front. This scene depicts Tomie, having multiplied into a sake mash, attacking a man while exuding a rich, intoxicating aroma. Though this image is concealed once the techo is inserted, you’ll find madness in every meticulously drawn line.




Peeking out from the pocket is Tomie in the form of a human-faced tumor. Even while sitting in a trash can, her arrogant personality remains unchanged, and the man she commands obeys her without question.

This is the English version of the A5 size Hobonichi Techo Cousin with a page-per-day format.

The book layout is the same as the Japanese edition. Not only is it useful for writing down your plans for the day, jotting down memos, doodling, pasting event tickets or photos, the spacious Cousin is easy to use as a Techo to write down everything work-related, as a family notebook, tracking the growth of children and pasting in pictures to create a family album or sharing pages among family members.
