Learn Monoline Lettering techniques! In this workshop, you will learn how to write unique letters using dip pens and two colors of fountain pen ink. During the workshop, participants will learn how to use dip pens, how to care for them, basic strokes, how to write letters, how to blend inks, and finally how to write phrases they like while blending two ink colors.
This workshop is designed for beginners, and no prior experience with dip pens, calligraphy, or ink is required. Left-handed participants are also very welcome.
The following supplies will be provided:
• Original textbook and worksheets
• Personalized name card of the attendee
• Brause Ornament Nib 3.0mm × 2
• Pen holder × 2
• 5ml fountain pen ink sample × 2
• Sanzen Tomoe River A4 (for practice)
• Graphilo A5 (for final work)
Please bring to the workshop:
• An A4 folder to take worksheets home
• Light refreshments to stay energized during the workshop
• Please be prepared for getting a little ink on your clothes and hands
All materials are included in the workshop fee, so students do not need to prepare anything in advance.

About Bechori:
Bechori is a hand lettering artist based in Japan. He began teaching himself hand lettering in 2016, and in 2019 he became an independent freelancer, starting his professional career in hand lettering.
He values creating lettering that is clean and well-balanced, yet warm and approachable. Through his work and workshops, he focuses on helping people enjoy writing letters while building a strong foundation and developing their own personal style.
- Workshops are non-refundable, non-transferable or redeemable for cash, and all sales are final. We have committed to compensating our instructors for their time, supplies and talent.
- If you can't make it on the actual day, you will get the kit to finish the project at home. Workshop materials must be picked up in person from our store Little Craft Place and will not be mailed to participants who are unable to attend.
- In the event a workshop is cancelled, attendees will be fully refunded within 10 days of the event. Little Craft Fest/Little Craft Place reserve the right to cancel any class due to lack of participation.
- Workshops are not included in the daily pass or 3-day pass.
- Ticket holders grant Little Craft Fest/Little Craft Place permission to use their recorded likeness at the event, with the understanding that these images and videos may be used for future promotional activities.
- Little Craft Fest/Little Craft Place reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant from the venue at their discretion.
