Step into the spooky side of creativity in Wicked Words: Beginner Spooky Lettering Workshop! This beginner-friendly class will introduce students to the foundations of brush lettering in a fun and approachable way, with a Halloween-inspired twist. Participants will learn basic lettering techniques including strokes, letter formation, word composition, and simple embellishments while exploring spooky color palettes, seasonal doodles, and festive details that bring their lettering to life.
Throughout the workshop, students will practice their new skills through guided exercises and creative prompts designed to build confidence — no prior experience needed. By the end of class, each attendee will create their own small spooky-themed quote artwork using the techniques learned in class, leaving with both new creative skills and a finished piece to take home and display for the season.
Workshop includes:
Workbook, paper for the final project, tracing paper for each student, hand lettered name tag, custom thank you card
Participants to bring:
They can bring their favorite brush pens, markers or black pens- but not required.

Emily Solis is a creative educator and artist specializing in hand lettering, journaling, and mixed-media art techniques. She teaches engaging, beginner-friendly workshops designed to make creativity accessible, playful, and practical for everyday use. With a background in education, Emily creates welcoming, well-structured workshops that balance skill-building with creative exploration, making her classes approachable for all experience levels.
- Workshops are non-refundable, non-transferable or redeemable for cash, and all sales are final. We have committed to compensating our instructors for their time, supplies and talent.
- You don't need a Marketplace admission ticket to attend workshop, we're all about flexibility here.
- For workshop check-in, all you need is your name and order number.
- If you can't make it on the actual day, you may get the kit to finish the project at home. Reach out to the instructor to arrange kit pickup or shipping.
- In the event a workshop is cancelled, attendees will be fully refunded within 10 days of the event. Little Craft Fest/Little Craft Place reserve the right to cancel any class due to lack of participation.
- Workshops are not included in the daily pass or 3-day pass.
- Ticket holders grant Little Craft Fest/Little Craft Place permission to use their recorded likeness at the event, with the understanding that these images and videos may be used for future promotional activities.
